Interesting since I've always thought of myself as the counseling type!
Another interesting fact is that oneloveonelight is most like Will Riker! Deanna and Will were pretty much into each other the entire series. That's quite cool!!

It's my Freakin Birthday and I will write what's on my mind because I get a get out of jail free card today. Yeah Baby!
Haven't had much time to LJ lately with the biz going on and the insanity that goes with. I just wanted to throw out there the "Obama is the new Jesus" thing. First of all, US society is in DEEP starvation for a savior "another Reagan", “JFK”, “FDR” or Jesus-like hero.
The thing is this:
Obama is NOT saying or proposing anything spectacularly different than any other Democrat that has run for office in the last 30 freaking years. The same speeches can be heard from Mondale, Dukakis, and John Kerry as that of Obama. What is the difference between them and Obama? When Obama speaks the audience feels something different in his/her hearts than when any other candidate has thrown us the same old blah, blah, blah rhetoric the liberals have been campaigning with the last 30 years. Why? What is it about Obama that makes his supporters feel like he really means what he is saying?
My answer: John Kerry and other Democrats like him are (or appear to be) elitists in the eyes of the poor and middle-class so when they talk change or anything of the sort it seems to come off as just rhetoric bs that is being read off a prompter. But, when Obama speaks of change it is generally perceived as if he actually believes what he is saying. This is because Obama HAS suffered. You may argue that he has not, but I’m not talking about the suffrage of being poor. I’m talking about being a black man in America. No other serious candidate can ever make that claim. Also, no other American other than a Black American can know the baggage that is carried in a society that fears you. Just imagine waking up tomorrow and suddenly millions of strangers that wouldn’t have paid two cents of a who-ha to you yesterday were suddenly giving you paranoid glances and acting all squirrely shifty EVERYWHERE you go. Imagine that feeling for a lifetime!
There I said it! Obama knows suffering so based on that and that alone, I trust him and believe that he WILL fight for change.
So who am I going to vote for?
I started listing all of the positives for both Obama and McCain. Other than bore everyone with my entire list, I thought I'd list my two favorites:
Obama: Being able to say the American Dream is still real and can still happen if you work at it hard enough. No matter how much Britney Spears makes the American Dream look and feel like a damnation, I'll be able to say "A Black Guy is President" making the dream feel real again instead of an affliction.
McCain: MORE TINA FEY!!!!
I can't make up my mind: Obama to preserve and re-glorify the American Dream or more Tina Palin impersonations? AH! Dreams are for suckers anyway! Hey Tina can you say "You Betcha" again? Mmmm! Vote McC……
FINE! VOTE OBAMA YA TINA FEY HATERS!!!!

I usually don't give a crap about what Prince does since he's obviously proved himself over and over again, but WTF!
http://blog.wired.com/music/2008/06/prince-sues-to.html
Why didn't he sue the Foo Fighters when they re-made "Darling Nikki"? Instead, he told US Weekly that "David needs to focus on creating his own originals" and "Too many musical acts are relying too heavily on resurecting classics instead of moving into new creative skies above."
Mmm Hmm!
Happy FUCKING 50th! Guess that Jehovah's Witnesses are into the whole personal glory thing! Guess you still don't have enough fame, glory, and riches huh Prince?

English Genius
You scored 93% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 100% Advanced, and 93% Expert!
You did so extremely well, even I can't find a word to describe your excellence! You have the uncommon intelligence necessary to understand things that most people don't. You have an extensive vocabulary, and you're not afraid to use it properly! Way to go!
Result of being married to an English Major! I know which questions I missed without the answer guide. I always miss the I or Me thing in basic language because everyone ALWAYS says it wrong in conversation and conversation is the only exposure I have to the English language. I never learned the rules in school because I was too busy looking at naked pictures of girls in class (see previous LJ entry for details) and laughing at FARTS!
Thanks for all of the English knowledge Oneloveonelight!

The most important statement GC ever made in his career was his speach on the "American Dream"! When I was leading the band "Expendable" I wrote a song called An American Dream that I attributed to this mind opening speach by Carlin.
Enjoy!

I'm going to miss you George! Bad heart or not man, it's all a conspiracy.
Not another person, except maybe John Lennon, summed up my views of the world and everything around me as well as Carlin. From religion, obscenity, government conspiracy, he was always DEAD ON for me. I will miss the comic genius of Carlin so very much. I loved this man and everything that he inspired from Kevin Smith to Eddie Murphy. Maybe they have unlimited supply of that "Organic Fuel" wherever it is that you are now George.
Thank you for being my icon for so many years!

First usericon is/was my self portrait photograph with my hair in "Coolio" braids. Why did I choose this icon? Because it's a good example of my "Residual Self-Image". The way I see myself is the Rockstar Artist type. My ideal lifestyle is to create art and music everyday and be loved for it. My Rock and Roll Artist hero is John Lennon so the closer I come to being John Lennon the better. Hell, we share the same birthday as it is so why not?

I don't know how many of you are snl fans, but I'm sure that most of you that watch snl regularly have noticed an obvious decline in originality and twisted humor these past 2 seasons. One reason is quite obvious, Tina Fey is no longer an actor nor a writer on the show. She's moved on to star in and create 30 Rock which is a kick ass show and deserves MUCH attention! However, without the brain of Fey aiding in the creation of snl the show has lost SO MUCH of what made it great.
What to do?
Of course it's not possible to replace the beautiful geek chic of Tina Fey, but it wouldn't be to off the wall to light a fire under the seats of the writers of the legendary show. I would like to suggest that every week A DIFFERENT "guest" writer should help give creative insight to the snl writers. For example, why not invite Dave Chappelle to coach the writers one week? Next week, Carlos Mencia could give his 10 cents to the writers and so on until you've built a new larger audience. Once the sponsorship goes up and the show is making the big bucks let's bring in the BIG guns like Mel Brooks, etc.
What to do part deux...
Now for the HUGE next big snl media extravaganza! We take the best things about American Idol and Last Comic Standing and create a show that the audience chooses the next snl cast member! Think about it! It would work! We've all seen what can happen with American Idol via Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and OMG Jennifer Hudson. What if snl were to bring that same magic to America's favorite late night comedy show?
I've been watching Last Comic Standing this season, and the thoughts just will NOT stop on this. Even most of the comics that win the big prize on LCS do not go on to do spectacular things. Seen anything from John Reep lately? NO and that SUCKS! I think that John Reep would be an upbelievable addition to snl. Why not? He writes his own material. Great, two for one!
The problem with snl is NOT the actors! Pretty much ALL of the snl cast is wonderful. Most snl actors could easily go independant and make movies or go on a stand up comedy tour and bring down the house. The problem with snl is that when a NEW cast member is added, the public does not know the actor. I remember when Will Ferrell came to snl back in the 90's just after Farley, Rock, Sandler, Meyers, Spade left the show. Guess what? I didn't think he was funny, but my love of the show and my NEVER having anything to do on Sat. night kept me watching. After his first season, I was hooked and Will became my favorite cast member along with Fey. The problem is that I had NO idea who Ferrell was so his comic style had to grow on me as it does with pretty much all comics and actors.
By producing a show that the pubic and QUALIFIED!!!! judges choose the next snl cast member, the mystery of the "New Actor" is GONE. Once the new season of snl starts, the viewers (both new and die-hard) will know what to expect with their new superstar creation. It also give the feeling of "Hey, I helped create this show" to the entire audience.
Repeat this snl competition each year (just like Idol) and I guarantee that snl will be new and improved! The world is moving in another direction so it's time for the second oldest American TV show (Price is Right still #1) to follow suit.
If anyone knows anyone who can make this happen, please forward this LJ entry to he/she! Just remember, copyright Ben Jason Neal, June, 16th 2008! SWEET!

Damn, I guess I asked for it. Just found out that Tim Russert collapsed and died a few hours ago just before taping "Meet the Press". Although I'm an avid Stewart/Colbert dude, I had a soft spot for Russert. I liked his style. Sucks that he died so mysteriously. Nobody knows what happened. Just fell over dead from what I've heard so far.
I loved the interview Russert did with Obama earlier this year.
Obama called him "The Greatest Interviewer of his lifetime"

I was hoping for lots of trouble and major shocking behavior, but today hasn't come through for me yet. So far, all that's happened is that Turtle Creek Flea Market has burned 50% down leaving all vendors to fend for themselves. That's right TC does not provide ANY insurance or HELL even responsibility for anything that happens there. So, when a faulty electric plug arches and sets a whole building ablaze destroying peoples businesses and in some cases, he/she's only means of income, what do you do? NOTHING! Oops sorry about your luck! You will need to review your contract with the flea market. Yes, see that small part right there above your signature that says NEVER responsible for ANYTHING! Even if the owner himself pours gas on the building and burns it to the ground for a party trick, we are not responsible for anything at all!
Sorry to all of those whom lost his/her means to support themselves! Although I can't stand the majority of the white trash bullshit that occurs at this particular flea market, I wouldn't have wished this upon them. This sucks and is BULLSHIT! Greed Blows!
Here is a post for Friday the 13th since I have little to talk about and I'm bored as hell. I thought this was quite funny since I rented this game back in the day and hated it. This guy nails all of my frustrations with this game. (especially the laws of left and right not applying)
